![]() ![]() "Custom Furniture Portfolio"Below you will find pictures and decriptions of some of our custom work. Clicking the individual images will load a larger image for your viewing pleasure. Be advised that these may load slowly depending on your internet connection speed. Be patient and enjoy. Our standard Audio and Video desks are shown above. The Audio desk features a cassette deck shelf and a standard 19" 14sp equipment rack. The Video desk features space for the main monitor and two 9" preview monitors (shown blanked). The shelf above will house VCR and/or DVD recorders. The space below the monitors is for camera controls and video switching equipment. Tape and disk storage is located in the two cabinets to the left and right of the operator. The rack shown above currently resides at a local Elementry Magnet School here in Greensboro. It is a self contained audio system featuring an 8 channel mixer, cassette rec/play deck, rack mount 31 band eq, and a stereo power amp. The rack is on wheels and features a single mass connector on a 25 foot cable to interface with the rest of the sound system. Needless to say the emphasis at the school is Communications. This desk is unique in that is an L-Shaped unit that had to fit in a very confined space. Tape decks and rack mount sound equipment are all mounted to the operators right while the mixing console is directly in front. Doors on the rack remain closed while in operation and ventilation is provided through the rear of the cabinet. This is just a variation on a theme the only difference being two independent cassette deck shelves and the cabinet finish (white Laquer). We call this a large single station desk. The desk shown here is a standard desk finished in white with a mahogony lid and top. The three pictures above are showcasing a Three Station Unit. Center is the mix position. A computer station is to the left of the mix position and stage lighting is handled on the right. Drawer and cabinet storage space are provided between the stations. This setup provides a comfortable and spacious work enviroment for all three operators. This Custom Speaker Array contains two Main Speakers, two near fill horns, two side fill speakers, and a rear facing choir monitor. The design allows for the whole array to be lowered to floor level for maintenance via a specially designed cable winching system. A video projector, (not shown) has been added to the bottom of the array facade. The desk pictured here is a Two Station Unit with the rack located between the stations. All interconnect wiring is accomplished through an access door on the rear of the cabinet. Final installation was in process when this picture was taken. Just a few more examples. These are Single Station Standard Desks with rack space. And don't forget, we also service the equipment that is housed within them. We were asked to design and build the cabinetry for this Board/Conference Room. The unit houses a large screen TV for video conferencing (or maybe the Super Bowl?) Right, and an Electronic White Board Left. The sound system is also housed in this unit along with the computer system and remote control units for everything. The construction is solid cherry built to match existing room furnishings. Home Theater is really hot right now and yes we can do that too. The series of pictures above is just a sample from start to finish. This project was done for Advanced Tech Systems of Greensboro, a local systems integration company. It incorporates advanced electronics as well as state of the art acoustics design. The cabinetry is solid oak in a raised panel design and the custom designed speaker grill covers form columns that rise from the floor to the ceiling. Multi fold doors retract into pockets on either side of the screen allowing for a very clean look, opened or closed. The center speaker is hidden behind the screen and is not seen by the viewer. copyright
